California 8-hour CCW course (Shasta and Tehama County)

In this renewal course, students will cover:

·        Updated California CCW laws and renewal requirements

·        Recent legal changes and restrictions related to concealed carry, including SB 2 updates

·        Review of where CCW permit holders may and may not legally carry

·        Legal use of force and lawful use of lethal force in self-defense

·        Firearm safety, safe handling, secure storage, and responsible carry practices

·        Mental health awareness and available resources

·        Required course video or classroom instruction covering legal, safety, and responsibility topics

·        Situational awareness, conflict avoidance, and defensive decision-making

·        Communication with law enforcement during a CCW-related contact

·        Range safety, shooting fundamentals, and firearm handling review

·        Live-fire qualification on the range with the firearm or firearms listed for renewal

·        Safe demonstration of firearm competency, accuracy, and responsible range conduct
