California 16-hour CCW course (Shasta and Tehama County)

In this course, students will cover:

·        Firearm safety rules and responsible gun ownership

·        Proper firearms handling, loading, unloading, and safe storage

·        California CCW requirements and legal responsibilities

·        California firearms laws, including current updates related to SB 1 and SB 2

·        Where CCW permit holders may and may not legally carry

·        Legal use of force and the lawful use of lethal force in self-defense

·        Personal protection in the home and defensive mindset

·        Situational awareness, threat recognition, and conflict avoidance

·        Safe transportation of firearms and securing firearms in vehicles

·        Concealed carry methods, holster safety, and everyday carry considerations

·        Communication with law enforcement during a CCW-related contact

·        What to consider before, during, and after a defensive incident

·        Mental health awareness and available resources

·        Shooting fundamentals, accuracy, and safe range conduct

·        Live-fire training, firearm qualification, and safe demonstration of competency
